Welcome to my PT Cruiser site. This is the first web page I have ever designed so I'm sure there sill be some problems with it. My personal feeling about web sites are that as long as the owner of the site has some interesting photos and/or interesting things to say it will be worth while. I will endeavor to meet and exceed that standard. So lets get started.
This shows my 2001 Limited Edition PT Cruiser, with salt and other road grime, on December 30th, 2001. A replacement photo will come when I have one to place there. That one should show a clean PT.
My PT is my daily driver and is parked outside year round. I have a garage but nothing bigger then a motorcycle would fit in there. I've divided my garage for a hobby workshop.

My other major hobbies are model railroads, photography, computers and rail fanning.
Model railroads have been a part of my life since the 1960's. The hobby for me has changed drastically over the years. In my younger days I had 3 rail Hornby equipment that I combined with an AFX race car set. This most enjoyable in those days. Much later in the 1980's I got involved with a local group of modelers called the MOB (Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington) N-Trak. This group eventually out grow or original goals and now we have group called Rail-Ops Scale Operating Group. We round robin our gatherings every couple of weeks between the homes of the people in the group who have train layouts. I have one of those layouts. I also belong to an international group called National Model Railroad Association, NMRA, in which I am a life member. In 2003 the NMRA will be holding its' national convention in Toronto from July 13th to 19th. I am the registrar for that event that is expected to draw around 3500 people from all over the world.
Photography has been with me almost all of my life. The first camera I used was a Kodak unit that used 828 film. Later I purchased a 35mm camera that used replaceable lenses. Later I purchased a Canon EOS and them a Minolta, that I still have. My introduction into digital photography was with a little Casio with very limited resolution. Now I use a Nikon CoolPix 990 with 3.3 megapixal capacity. I also have a wide angle lens, a telephoto lens, speedlight flash, slide adapter and a Manfroto tripod with many features. All of these photos on this site were done using the Nikon camera. I added a Sony digital video camera to my arsenal in 2000.
In 1973 I wrote my first computer program in high school. I've been hooked ever since. Things have developed nicely over the years and I currently put together and setup my own computers including the one I use now which uses an AMD Athalon 700 megahertz processor with 512 mbs of ram, 100 gbs of hard drive space and a 19" monitor.
Rail fanning is an enjoyable hobby were you can go to watch real trains in action. My new PT will play a major roll in this endeavor. I've rail fanned to the west as far away as the coast of Oregon and California, to the south on Arizona and New Mexico, to the east in Pennsylvania and to the North in Parry Sound. Major stops for rail fanning for me have been in Chama NM, Durango CO, and Georgetown CO. At each of these locations I have ridden on steam locomotives.
